Thom Kinkade is America's most collected living artist. A devout Christian from a modest background, Thom emphasizes simple pleasures and inspirational messages through his paintings. He also uses his gift as a vehicle to communicate and spread inherent, life-affirming values.
A devoted husband and doting father to their four daughters, Thom strives to lead a balanced life, committed to family values. He fills his paintings with "love notes" by hiding the letter "N" somewhere on the canvas as a tribute to his wife, Nanette. Thom credits the Lord for both the ability and inspiration that has led to his success. His goal as an artist is to touch people of all faiths, bringing peace and joy into their lives through the images he creates.
In 2005, the Points of light Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to engaging more people in volunteer service to help solve serious social problems, named Thomas Kinkade their Ambassador of Light. During the Ambassador of Light Tour from 2005-2006, Thom visited cities nationwide to raise awareness and money for the Points of Light Foundation and the Volunteer Center National Network. |
